Do you love the stage and want to share your passion for theater with the next generation? Our theater education minor will prepare you to teach and lead a theater programs in schools or community organizations, with a solid groundwork in theatrical and educational methods including acting, stage direction, voice, classroom management, theater history, stage design, sound, lighting and more.
In addition to taking education, dance, voice and acting classes, you’ll gain hands-on opportunities to apply technical and artistic skills learned in a campus play, musical or opera production every year.
And when you participate in college as a performer, stage manager, director or choreographer, you will be learning high-demand job skills that will serve you well in the classroom or leading a theater group. These include working on a team, problem-solving and effective communication.

The Goshen College Vox Profundi low voice choir will spend their spring break touring and performing in churches and schools in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and Ohio from Feb. 26 through March 4, with a home concert on Sunday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Goshen College Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall.
