At Goshen College we provide you with the tools that you need to succeed in today’s graphic design job market, from the latest design software to our state-of-the-art computer labs. Our program offers smaller class sizes and portfolio-building support from our dedicated faculty to prepare you for landing a job after graduation. We focus on learning not only the visual aesthetics of design, but also the critical thinking and problem-solving needed in this field.
As a graphic design major or minor, you also have many avenues on and around campus to apply your knowledge by creating posters for campus events or design the layout of The Record, our award-winning student-run newspaper. Advanced students often find design internships with area advertising agencies and freelance opportunities both on and off campus.
The graphic design major and minor offer you a choice of business courses in entrepreneurship, marketing and advertising, giving you essential skills to succeed in the design workplace. Courses in typography, marketing and web design will expand the possibilities for your future job prospects. By the time you graduate, you’ll have a unique and professional portfolio to show both employers and clients.
