If you are eager to learn, work, create, and lead in an award-winning communication department, the Goshen College Communication Department wants you! Our top-notch program recognizes that written, visual and verbal communication skills are critical in our everyday lives – in our friendships, our families, our schools, our communities, our churches, and our jobs. We will partner with you to nurture this gift of communication, preparing you to enter the workplace from a running start! Professors in our communication program will work alongside, mentor, and challenge you as you take concepts to a professional level. They will provide you with opportunities to “learn through doing” in the classroom, the studio, the community and the world. The Goshen College Communication Department invites you to be a part of our engaged, hard-working, and supportive team as you prepare for life beyond college.

You may even choose to work on your public speaking skills while developing your faith-oriented social justice muscles as you audition to deliver a speech at the annual C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest .
As a communication major or minor, you will be able to seize opportunities to take classes in journalism, public relations, radio or television broadcasting, writing, multimedia and film studies. Many courses are interdisciplinary and hands-on, growing the expertise needed to operate state-of-the-art equipment. You will be inspired to develop skills for putting your faith into action and expanding your world while communicating effectively and compassionately, with an eye toward serving others throughout your career in the communication field. We welcome you to join our Communication team as we learn, produce, edit, work, study, film, discuss, question, write, grow, and have fun together!
