If you are interested in the unfolding history of the global Mennonite Church, our Anabaptist-Mennonite studies minor may be right for you! The program is dynamic and evolving as students and professors dig into a complex history that spans from 16th century Europe to modern-day Asia, Africa, South America and beyond.
At GC, you’ll have the chance to study under one of the foremost scholars and writers on Anabaptist history in the world: Professor of History John D. Roth, the creator of the Institute for the Study of Global Anabaptism. The faculty focus especially on teaching students how the Anabaptist movement is developing in continents outside of Europe and North America.
You’ll also have access to the world’s most comprehensive collections of Mennonite materials in the campus’ Mennonite Historical Library. During a May term course, you could even study Anabaptist history first-hand in Europe or Paraguay, where over 20 different Anabaptist-Mennonite groups have settled.
