Goshen College encourages individuals to report any incident in which an incident of sexual misconduct is believed to have occurred.
If this is an emergency, please call 911, go to the nearest hospital, or contact Campus Safety (574-535-7599). Even if you are under 21, going to the Emergency Room for a situation including alcohol, you will not be prosecuted for underage drinking (Indiana Lifeline Law). For more information and resources, see the immediate response and support & resources pages.
If you have experienced an incident of sexual harassment, domestic or dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or other forms of sexual misconduct, the following form is one way to inform the Title IX Deputy Coordinator of your situation, access on-campus or off-campus resources, and, if you want, file a formal complaint.
If you are a Goshen College employee, you may contact your supervisor or Human Resources Director Delores Johnson for more information. As an employee, you may also make an anonymous report of misconduct through the confidential Campus Conduct Hotline provided by Human Resources at 866-943-5787.
What information do I need to provide?
This form gathers key information–the location, date, and nature of the incident–that is needed to ensure that the situation receives proper attention. Names are optional unless you would like to request further support or would like to file a formal complaint for a resolution.
In addition to, or instead of, completing this form, you may contact any Goshen College employee for assistance. Be advised that GC employees are “Responsible Employees” and are expected to help a student report any sexual harassment or violence to the Title IX Coordinator. See definitions in this policy for more information on GC employee roles and their duty to report.
What will happen with this information?
The report will be processed by Title IX Deputy Coordinator (Kendra Yoder). Incidents involving Goshen College employees will be processed by the Director of Human Resources (Delores Johnson). If you feel uncomfortable having Kendra or Delores processing your report, please contact their supervisors: Beth Martin Birky, Associate Academic Dean, or Jodi Beyeler, Vice President of Communication and People Strategies. You may also contact any GC employee for information or assistance.
