Orientation to Technology

Your GC Username and Password
Students receive their Goshen College username and password when they are admitted to GC. New employees receive their username and password when they are hired.
To change your password, do the following:
- go to the My GC Online Portal at https://my.goshen.edu
- at the top right, log in with your current GC username and password
- click on the Change Your Password link
- follow the directions on the page to change your password
- click the Update button
If you can not remember your user name and/or password contact the ITS Helpdesk at (574) 535-7700, or send an email to helpdesk@goshen.edu and provide us with your full name, Goshen College ID number, and phone number.
Accessing Your Goshen College Email and Calendar
Goshen College uses Google’s Gmail and Calendar services. Go to http:/www.google.com and log in using your Goshen College email address and password. Once logged in, click on the Application Menu in the upper right, and then choose Mail or Calendar. Google Apps for Education
Google Apps are a suite of online tools and cloud storage, powered by Google. All enrolled Goshen College students, and all faculty and staff, have a Google Apps accounts with unlimited cloud storage in Google Drive. Go to www.google.com and log in with your Goshen College email address and password. Once logged in, click on the Application Menu in the upper right to access your Google Drive and other applications. MyGC
MyGC your personal online web portal. Through MyGC, students have access to grades, class schedules, adviser information and more. Employees have access to a host of employee resources and support links. And teaching faculty have access to course information, final grade entry, advising, admission/recruitment resources, etc. Click here to go to the MyGC web page, and then log in with your GC username and password.
Getting Connected Guide (ResNet)
Students can connect their personal computers to the GC network and Internet. Click here for instructions for connecting to ResNet. Free Ethernet cables are available from the ITS Help Desk.
Connecting to the Wireless Network
Access to GC’s wireless network is available for students, employees, and guests. Click here for instructions.
Printing
There are numerous networked printers and multi-function printer/copiers on campus. Click here for instructions on how to add or remove a GC printer, and to access our other printing help articles.
Printing over the wireless network is also an option. Click here for instructions on how to print over wireless.
Students receive print credit at the beginning of each semester. Each student will receive $15 of print credit for both fall and spring semesters, and $7.50 for May term. If you are taking summer terms courses, you will also receive $7.50 for each summer term that you are registered for. If you run out of print credit, you can purchase more from the Help Desk, which is located in the basement of the Union building, under the Bookstore. Any printing that employees do is charged to their department budget.
Moodle
Moodle is Goshen College’s Learning Management System that contains class syllabi and assignments. Click here to access Moodle. Log in with your Goshen College username and password.
iPads at Goshen College
Students at Goshen College will use iPads to explore and learn in their college classes. Click here for information about the Goshen College iPad Program.
Purchasing Software
