Where does my money go?
The 2022 graduates are raising money for the Goshen College Fund, which provides support for student scholarships. Or if you prefer, you can give to any specific program of your choice: your academic major, your sports team, your club, etc. ). We hope all graduates will participate, no matter the amount, to ensure the success of programs and leave a legacy for future students.
Make an even Bigger Impact this Year
This year graduates who make a donation of any amount before or on Connect Goshen Day (April 12) will be entered into a draw to magnify the impact of their gift. The drawing will be on April 13. One graduate will be selected to give an additional $1,000 to any GC program/s of your choice. Do not miss this chance to really support your favorite GC program.
How do I get a class glass?
For a minimum donation of $40, class-members can receive a limited edition etched glass that has “Class of 2022” and the GC logo on one side and the seal on the other side. You can also choose a glass with just the seal on it. Both versions are first-come, first-served.
How to Give:
You have two options to give a graduation gift. You can give a Gift Online. Or, if you’re living on campus you can give part or all of your $200 housing deposit.
If you’d like to give online use the link above and select “other”. Then put “Graduate Gift” in the comment field and select a GC entity you would like to give to. Examples could include a club, team, music ensemble, academic department or any entity on campus with an account. Undesignated funds will go to the Goshen College Fund, which provides support for student scholarships.
If you would like to give out of your housing deposit funds, you are welcome to do so by contacting Matt Wimmer at accounting@goshen.edu before April 29th. You can give part or all of your $200 deposit. Please designate the amount you would like to give and to which GC account. Again, undesignated funds will go to The Goshen College Fund, which provides support for student scholarships.
Why would a financially-strapped college student choose to donate?
It’s time to think about the larger picture. This is your chance to start investing in the education of future students here at Goshen College. We hope all graduates will participate, no matter the amount, to ensure the success of the program and leave a legacy for future students.
The hope is that this is the first step in a lifetime of giving back. While you were a student you have been supported by alumni and friends of Goshen College. Now it is your turn to join the tradition of good stewardship. You can make a gift of any amount that is comfortable for you by cash, check, or credit card. If you have a small group housing deposit – you may apply a portion of it towards your gift.
Gifts are welcome at any time but we will focus on gifts from graduates coming in this spring. The graduates of 2020 donated $1053. The 2022 Graduate Gift Committee has an ambitious goal of 25% participation. Will you help us get there?
