This course covers a fundamental understanding of the Microsoft Excel environment and the ability to complete tasks independently. This course demonstrates the correct application of the principal features of Microsoft Excel. Students should be able to create and edit a workbook with multiple sheets for a variety of purposes and situations. Examples include professional-grade budgets, team performance charts, sales invoices and exercise logs. Candidate roles might include students, clerical workers, bookkeepers, instructors and others.

  • Time: April 5-May 5, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-8 p.m., via Zoom
  • Cost: $150
  • Non credit. No prerequisites.
  • Materials required: Computer with Microsoft Excel 2013 or Microsoft Excel 2016.

This course helps you prepare for the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exam for Microsoft Excel 2016 (number 77-727), which focuses on creating and managing worksheets and workbooks, managing data cells and ranges, creating tables, performing operations with formulas and functions, and creating charts and objects. Examples include professional-grade budgets, team performance charts, sales invoices and exercise logs. Candidate roles might include students, clerical workers, bookkeepers, instructors and others.

  • Time: May 10-June 16, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-8:30 p.m., via Zoom
  • Cost: $300
  • Non credit.
  • Prerequisites: working knowledge, as from Introduction to Microsoft Excel.
  • Materials required: Computer with Microsoft Excel 2016, 2019 or 365.
